So What Has Changed?

Many months have passed since the day I learned I have cancer
and in some ways, many things have changed and many have
remained the same.

Most importantly, I am still here and I am still the same person I was prior to learning that I have cancer. I still love sports, music, being with my friends, girls and being a normal kid. But I have had to make adjustments. Instead of pitching on my high school baseball team, I am a manager on the team. But my goal is to play again one day. I am looking forward to driving, playing more golf, college, working and having my own family.

What has changed is that I have been fighting for my life. I have
had countless chemotherapy treatments, radiation, surgeries, visits
to the emergency room, trips to Houston to participate in
a clinical trial, 2/3rds of my right lung removed and I have taken
more medication than any one person should have to take in a
lifetime.

But I am still here.
