You will be the communication person, the buffer for them and the others around you. In this crisis, anything is bound happen. If it gets to be too much work for you, get another team member. Remember, you must take care of yourself first before you can take care of others. If you don't have a specific strength or don't feel comfortable, team up with another pal and utilize their strength. •Step into any difficult situation and mediate it. Absorb any negativity so it does not get to parents/child. •Ask the parents/child what they need. Queue up your emotional intelligence to about 150%. Read their emotional behavior and sense the environment. Become the emotional barometer. |
