Sam's Team

Sam and Jeanne

Sam Butler Callahan
Co-Founder
Sam Butler Callahan is a 15 year-old Ewing sarcoma patient with a big dream about changing the world for youth with Ewing sarcoma by sharing his struggle with cancer with other youth patients and families. Sam is a gifted youth both academically and athletically who is fortunate to have a great family, friends, and fans and wants to share his gifts with other children and families through the Sam Foundation.

"It’s important that people have a chance to be productive and do the things that make the difference for them. We want the Sam Foundation to work to find treatments that bring cures more quickly when they are diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma", said Sam Butler Callahan. I don’t know exactly what I want to be when I grow up because I am only fourteen; but I want to do good things that make and impact and enjoy my own life. I am sure that I want the choice to “be well” and feel that this is a right all kids should have. I want to be able to make my own dreams come true. It’s a luxury to be healthy, and now I realize that.

I am so grateful to all the Friends and Fans who have joined the SAM on Facebook community. I have met so many new people through the Facebook community who have helped my family and me.
